GOING, GOING, GONG!!!!
On June 11, several otherwise normal people steeled their nerves and faced a packed house at GODMOTHERS II in a hilarious version of The Gong Show. Winners were 'Donny & Marie' followed by 'Miss Poland and Miss England' whose patriotic a capella renditions and flag waving brought the house down. Also appearing was 'Miss Dade County' on the fiddle, 'Anita Bryant's son, Tony'
(twice yet!), a stirring version of 'Feelings' that brought a tear to at least one eye in the audience, and several dancers, one of whom got a surprise pie in the face. Ably filling in between acts was 'Kimberly' who has more changes of clothes than Mayor Perk has dumb ideas. The entire show was engineered and emceed by Marge who could give the real Chuck Barris a run for his money. RLK
A NEW DIMENSION. . . Has been added to the Cleveland night life with the opening of "The New Dimension" last month. Admist champagne and buffet, new faces mingled with familiar against the backdrop of the newly decorated Disco's expanded light show and the tube lights. A new Dementia was also added in the form of "BELUGA," whose planned, as well as spontaneous, performances leave one speechless. If you've seen him you know what I mean. If you haven't, you wouldn't understand. Prevalent over the evening's festivities was the kind of GOOD MUSIC that the old Bayou first brought to Cleveland two years ago. RLK
